  • Neils Harbour, Nova Scotia - A shot I took following a fall storm in northern Cape Breton. These large rollers are coming ashore from the Cabot Strait, near the end of the event. Don't venture too close to waves like these as they can sweep you off your feet and into the sea on contact!
  • Ingonish - Angry seas! Shown in this snapshot I took along the coastline between Ingonish and Neil's Harbour, is a surf accompanying a windy day. Some incredible wave action can be seen in this area during a windstorm or just afterwards. It is tremendously refreshing and easily viewed from the Cabot Trail Highway. Whatever you do, do not get close to the water's edge or stand on the rocks as this can be very dangerous and sometimes fatal!

  • Neils Harbour, Nova Scotia - This is a shot I took after a heavy rainfall in the Cape Breton Highlands. It shows the high outflow of the Black Brook and also the nearby waterfall exiting from Still Brook to the edge of the Black Brook beach. A popular swimming and picnic site during the summer months, the sand washes away from the beach in the fall and winter.
