PORT VISIT INFORMATION
In February 2002, NRL Meteorologist Mr. Sam Brand and SAIC Meteorologist Mr. R. Glenn Handlers met and talked with the following persons to obtain much of the information in this evaluation: Mr. Sonny Irvine, Husbanding Agent, Cabo San Lucas; Mr. Justo Couto, Port Services Manager and Tropical Tours, Cabo San Lucas; Capitan de Mar, Marco Antonio Ochoa, Captain of the Port, Cabo San Lucas. In addition, the Captain of the Port and the Pilots provided significant assistance by providing answers to a tropical cyclone questionnaire, as well as detailed chart information for the Port of Cabo San Lucas. Mr. C. J. Neumann, SAIC, Monterey, CA provided the tropical cyclone climatology data used in this evaluation. Ms. Cynthia Karengin converted the port study into electronic format.
