The conclusion reached in this study is that the Port of Ominato cannot be considered a safe haven for ships when it is threatened by strong wind. The reasons for the conclusion include:
- Ominato Harbor offers no protection from wind. Ships at the port, whether moored or anchored, are exposed to the full force of strong wind events.
- Tug boats are not available to aid ships that may need assistance in strong wind situations.
