UNIMAR is New Zealand's specialist marine support company, offering services and solutions to the fast growing offshore oil and gas industry and New Zeeland's deep-sea fishing fleet, which operates throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of the company's ongoing development strategy, in December 2008 it secured development capital via a private placement of shares; this exercise also brought in Port Nelson and Bovey Offshore as strategic partners, boosting its local infrastructure and marine plant portfolio.
In Q3 2009, UNIMAR takes delivery of the first of its newly-built multi-purpose 5150 Class AHTS vessels for operations in New Zealand and the east coast of Australia.

Support vessel charter management
UNIMAR provides offshore and inshore support vessels and marine plants and equipment. It welcomes enquiries from companies who have requirements to charter or lease vessels and equipment from the following list:

UNIMAR operates and manages New Zealand's only dedicated personnel database for the maritime, offshore engineering and construction industries. If you have a requirement for temporary contract personnel or voyage relief crews, or want to crew up an entire multi-disciplined multi-layered project team, UNIMAR will work in partnership with you to ensure you have the right people for the right task at the right time. Services include:

If the New Zealand skill base becomes exhausted, UNIMAR has supply agreements with several multi-national technical recruitment companies, guaranteeing projects will stay on schedule.
Offshore operational maintenance systems and personnel
For more demanding projects, UNIMAR has the resources and capabilities to up-man construction teams for installation, hook-up and TLM contracts.
Ship repair and maintenance docking management
UNIMAR has accumulated extensive in-house expertise in managing key elements of ship repairs and maintenance dockings. The company becomes involved at the outset, featuring in the critical planning stages. This includes working with you to identify scope of work; finding locations to undertake work; sourcing and appraising sub-contractors; and putting together work lists, budgets and tenders.
A dedicated project manager will work closely with you to formulate a timeline, establish inbuilt cost control and commercial management systems, and ensure contract supply lines are in place for lead items and personnel. The project manager will act as your representative in all commercial and financial matters, giving you a single point of contact for the works and billing.
UNIMAR also owns and operates New Zealand’s third largest dry docking facility (in Nelson).
