Tidewater Marine

Profile

Tidewater Marine operates throughout the globe to expand its clients' potential through the coordination and management of every aspect of marine services. Suitability and availability are competitive concerns addressed through aggressive new builds, new technology and the largest fleet in the industry.
With more and more installations required for energy exploration and production deep beneath the seas, Tidewater transports crews and supplies, tows and anchors mobile rigs, assists in offshore construction and performs a variety of specialized services, including three-dimensional seismic exploration.
Anchor-handling towing supply vessels
Tidewater's large, powerful anchor-handling towing supply vessels, capable of all types of towing and anchor-handling activities, are the most versatile vessels in its fleet. Fitted with experienced crews and the most up-to-date equipment, these vessels are capable of positioning and mooring drilling rigs in any location, at virtually any depth and under any conditions.
With a wide range of power, sizes and capacities, Tidewater’s anchor-handling towing supply vessels provide general offshore support service, drilling rig support functions and cargo transport assignments.
General-purpose supply vessels
Few vessels in Tidewater’s fleet can match the "work horse" persona and versatility of these general-purpose supply vessels (PSVs). PSVs are designed to carry a wide variety of cargoes and can transport large amounts of fuel, drilling fluids, cement or mud in tanks beneath the deck, while their spacious, open decks transport large quantities of other materials such as casing, drill pipe, tubing and miscellaneous deck cargo.
Towing and anchor-handling offshore tugs
Tidewater’s offshore tugs, the largest fleet in the industry, offer complete flexibility in all offshore towing markets for any project size and any location. Its tugs perform conventional towing and anchor-handling functions within a wide range of offshore applications, including rig towage and construction support. Additionally, Tidewater’s offshore tugs are employed in the coastal and ocean towage of both containerized and bulk cargoes.
Fast crew supply vessels
Tidewater's crewboats have the capacity to transport moderate quantities of cargo and as many as 150 passengers at high speed and in comfort. With the versatility to meet a variety of production needs in demanding conditions throughout the world, no vessel surpasses Tidewater’s crewboats.
Utility vessels
Ranging from 85ft to 150ft in length, Tidewater's utility vessels can be configured to meet an endless array of special needs. These versatile vessels generally support production in the field, functioning as all-purpose vessels to support diving operations, offshore structure maintenance and low-cost general assistance.
Specialty vessels
Tidewater’s unique and varied specialty vessels perform functions such as line-handling, platform maintenance, diving support, FPSO support, well stimulation, cable laying and seismic support, as well as ROV support.
Specialized marine equipment
No other marine services company shares Tidewater’s enthusiasm for developing highly specialized equipment to meet its customers' demands. Tidewater recently provided support for the US government in launching geo-stationary radar equipment for drug interdiction in the Gulf of Mexico. Vessels used in other special projects include line-handling, maintenance, FPSO and diving support vessels.
Offshore support services
Whether utilizing one or more of its over 550 vessels, Tidewater’s services support every phase of offshore exploration, development and production, including the following:

Towing and anchor-handling of drilling rigs and equipment
Transporting supplies and personnel necessary to sustain drilling
Research, workover and production activities
Specialized services including pipe laying, cable laying, pollution and fire control, and three-dimensional seismic work
