SapuraKencana Australia / SKWS

Profile

SapuraKencana Australia (SKA), a fully owned Australian subsidiary of the Malaysian listed group SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad, offers a range of offshore services associated with subsea umbilicals, risers and flexibles, pipelines and platforms. We support our clients from concept and budget studies through to detailed design, installation, commissioning and decommissioning. SKA is certified to ISO 4801, 9001 and 14001 standards. By using proven management systems combined with three decades of successful offshore project delivery experience, SKA delivers innovative and cost-effective solutions with a focus on safety, environment and technical soundness. We have the experience and capability to deliver projects under a variety of contract forms from transport and installation through to engineering, procurement, construction and installation. SKA provides design engineering services utilising our dedicated in-house engineering department or in association with affiliated companies Ocean Flow International (OFI) and Peritus International. Light well intervention services in the Asia Pacific region are provided through SapuraKencana Well Services (SKWS). Subsea construction and installation SapuraKencana Australia draws on three decades of management experience and hands-on operational knowhow to provide full life-of-field services. These include: FEED studies Provision of DP2 and DP3 vessels Subsea construction, umbilicals, risers and flowlines Subsea structures / manifolds / riser bases / protection structures Spools and tie-in systems FPSO or TLP moorings installation and hook-up Full subsea field installations including all of the above Saturation diving services ROVs and specialised tooling Inspection, repair and maintenance and light construction Well intervention, well abandonment and field decommissioning services (through SKWS) Pipeline design, installation and stabilisation In partnership with OFI and Peritus International, SapuraKencana Australia's expertise in the design, fabrication and installation of subsea pipelines extends to: Conventional rigid pipelines Shallow water pipelines and shore approach Advanced pipeline engineering, including lateral buckling, dynamic stability, free-spanning, seismic and various strain-based assessments Conventional and innovative platform construction and installation SapuraKencana Australia has extensive experience in design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of fixed and floating offshore platforms and can provide a full turnkey service. SKA's platform capabilities include: Conventional platforms Self-installing developments (ACE platforms) Installation of topsides using the floatover method Process topside, jacket and wellhead platform fabrication Light well intervention and decommissioning services SKWS, a joint venture between SapuraKencana Australia and Total Marine Technology (TMT), provides cost-effective light well intervention (LWI) services to the Asia Pacific subsea oil and gas industry. LWI technology enables work to be performed on subsea wells without the use of a conventional drill rig with marine riser. All operations can be performed from a monohull vessel, offering significant cost savings when compared to rig-based solutions. The higher availability and faster mobilisation / transit times of monohull vessels adds to the benefit for operators. SKWS has the in-house experience and expertise to successfully abandon and decommission subsea infrastructures, including single or multiple wellheads, FPSOs, mooring lines, subsea heat exchangers or even full field abandonment including category 1, 2 and 3 wells. Light well intervention and decommissioning equipment SKWS provides a range of equipment to assist with access to subsea wells for riserless light well intervention (RLWI) and subsea well abandonment, including the subsea intervention device (SID), the AXE subsea wellhead severance system and the intervention compensation system (ICS). The suite of equipment and subsea tools are available for rental. The SID is designed to provide safe riserless access to a live subsea well by deployment from a monohull vessel utilising the ICS or vessel deployment system. Pressure rated to 5,000psi working pressure with a 7.4in through- bore, the SID is capable of deploying the same electric line or slick line services conventionally deployed from a rig or platform. It can operate on both horizontal and vertical trees with the ability to control the tree if required. The AXE severance system is a high-pressure water jet cutting system designed for the environmentally friendly removal of subsea wellheads, piles and platform conductors. It can cut multi-string casings in a single pass up to 30in, using environmentally friendly inert consumables. This removes the need for explosives or rig-based mechanical cutting tools. The ICS is designed to support rigless well intervention, well abandonment, tree deployment and other riserless well activities. This unique modular system can handle both wire and drill pipe to an 850m working depth. It is designed for ease of road transport and shipping. Subsea construction vessels SapuraKencana Australia, through its owner SapuraKencana Petroleum, has access to one of the largest subsea construction fleets in the Australasian region. This advanced fleet includes a comprehensive mix of heavy lift, derrick pipelay, subsea support and accommodation vessels. Our range of DP vessels includes the SapuraKencana Constructor and the SapuraKencana 1200 and 3500. The SapuraKencana Constructor is a 117m DP2 subsea support vessel equipped with a saturation dive system, two 150hp work class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), a helideck, moon pool and accommodation for 120 personnel. The SapuraKencana 1200 and 3500 are DP3 pipelay vessels that have a pipelay capacity of 6in to 60in, accommodation for 300 personnel and are equipped with a helideck. The former has a 1,200t and the latter a 3,500t crane.
