PEMA

Profile

PEMA column and booms, positioners and rollerbeds have been developed and built to meet or exceed productivity and quality requirements for the offshore industry. As improvements in productivity call for more automation, a high level of automation utilisation leads to increased production flexibility and greater efficiency of steel production material flows. Welding services for the offshore industry PEMA's range of welding solutions for the offshore industry include automated and robotised complete steel production lines and corresponding single stations for flat panels, pipes, jackets, egg-box construction, and profile and beam processing. PEMA also offers advanced positioners, rollerbeds, and column and booms, as well as corresponding integrated hard-welding automation solutions for offshore industry fabrication. Flat-panel production lines At their best in heavy offshore industry steel production, PEMA's automated and robotised flat-panel lines offer superior output capacity, unbeatable quality and overall productivity with a minimum amount of operators required. The lines can be directly integrated into design and manufacturing data systems for maximum flexibility in steel production. The dimensional accuracy, cleanness and straightness of the prefabricated components and subassemblies allow for high-speed, high-quality welding from thinner sheets up to the heaviest plates. A typical PEMA flat-panel production line set-up consists of the following: One-sided welding station with integrated plate edge milling Plate cutting, assembly-line cleaning and marking station Integrated stiffener mounting and fillet welding station T-beam assembly and tack-welding station Robotised fillet and vertical welding with patented Vision robot system Service portals for finishing the panels Welding-floor type conveyor system Load-out systems Profile and beam processing lines Profiles and beams produced in PEMA processing lines are dimensionally accurate and straight with optimum weld sizes and minimum plate distortion due to excess heat conduction. Higher welding speeds and end-product quality are achieved. A typical PEMA profile cutting line for steel profiles and beams consists of inbound and outbound conveyors, a robot cutting station and a control system. Its utilisation can be enhanced by adding a buffer storage and a text and bending-curve marking device on to its inbound side, and a sorting system to the outbound conveyor. PEMA cutting cells use a macro-based control system. A standard PEMA T-profile production solution is a push-through-type welding station, but a simpler solution consisting of a clamping table and a stiffener welding portal is also provided. The selection of the method depends on the required production capacity. PEMA profile processing lines can also include profile bottom-edge milling machines with a maximum feeding speed of 15m/min. Robotised welding stations for offshore steel structures In an offshore production environment, boosting production capacity without compromising quality often benefits from robotised welding applications. PEMA robotised stations revolutionise the welding of offshore steel structures such as jackets, piles, tubes and beams. PEMA's own advanced off-line control or unique on-line Vision robot system with patented camera technology ensures the smooth production of superior-quality offshore steelwork. Advanced PEMA work-piece positioners, rollerbeds, conveyors and feeders flexibly promote the versatile utilisation of robotised welding stations. Offshore work-piece handling equipment PEMA is a leading manufacturer of advanced column and booms, positioners and rollerbeds, as well as corresponding integrated hard-welding automation solutions. In offshore industry fabrication, PEMA's work-piece handling equipment improves productivity and meets the stringent standards of the high-quality welding of pressure vessels, piles and other steelwork.
