Fine Tubes

Profile

Fine Tubes is a specialist manufacturer of precision metal tubing in stainless steel, nickel and titanium alloys. As a long-established supplier to the world's leading oil and gas companies for over 60 years, Fine Tubes manufactures high performance metal tubes for the most demanding subsea projects and topside applications including tubing for FPSOs. Our tubing range includes: Seamless stainless-steel, nickel and titanium tubes in straight length or coils from 3mm (0.040in) outer diameter (OD) to 31mm (1.25in) OD Welded and re-drawn, bead-reduced or seam free stainless-steel and nickel tubing in straight length or coils from 3mm (0.118 in) OD to 28mm (1.25in) OD Corrosion resistant tubing Fine Tubes corrosion-resistant stainless-steel and nickel alloy tubes are used in some of the most demanding offshore environments where higher corrosion-resistant alloys offer long term and cost-effective solutions. Our product range includes precision tubing in stainless-steels 904L and 6Moly as well as nickel alloys 625, 825 and 400. Stainless-steel tubes in 904L and 6 Moly have superior corrosion resistance to the conventional chrome nickel stainless-steels and benefit from high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. These grades are particularly useful in control and instrumentation tubing applications where 316 and 317L are not suitable. Nickel alloy grade tubes such as alloys 625, 825 and 400 offer longer term solutions over standard stainless steels. Topside instrumentation tubing Fine Tubes supplies an extensive range of specialist corrosion resistant tubes in stainless-steel, duplex and super duplex stainless-steel and nickel. Our high performance control and instrumentation tubing is available from 1.6mm (0.063in) outside diameter for precision instrumentation and monitoring applications on drilling tools up to 63mm (2.475in) OD. Fine Tubes expertise in special grade stainless steels such as 904L and 6 Moly make the tube manufacturers the ideal partner for the supply of instrumentation packages used in the topside construction of offshore FPSO, FPSSs, Spars and TLPs. Control lines Fine Tubes offers coiled tubing for control lines in stainless steel and nickel alloys from 3mm (0.118in) to 25.4mm (1in) OD, used in the following applications: Downhole hydraulic control lines Downhole chemical control lines Subsea umbilical control lines for hydraulic power and chemical injection Smooth bore control lines used in fibre optic applications Fine Tubes manufacture seam welded and redrawn, seam welded and floating plug redrawn and seamless tube products. The standard grades are alloy 316L, 825 and 625. Specialist grades of stainless-steel in duplex and super duplex and nickel alloy are available on request. Hydraulic tubing Fine Tubes supply hydraulic tubes as straight lengths in sizes range from 5mm to 38.1mm outside diameter, primarily in the following grades: Titanium: 3Al2.5V, 4Al2.5V, CP Grade 2 Stainless-steels: 21-6-9 (welded), 347, 321, 304/304L Nickel alloys: 75, C263, 600, 625, 718 (high temperature) High pressure tubing Fine Tubes provides pressure tubing from 3mm (0.118in) OD up to 63mm (2.475in) OD. Operating conditions can require Fine Tubes products to be rated up to 60,000psi operating pressure and with a tensile strength up to 220ksi. Seamless oil and gas tubing Fine Tubes supplies seamless tubes in the following sizes: 3.0mm (0.118in) to 50.8mm (2in) OD Straight lengths up to 16m (51ft) Seamless coiled tubing is available from 6.35mm (0.25in) through to 25.4mm (1in) OD and used in onshore control panels, topside processing facilities and on subsea manifolds and templates up to 2,500m below the sea surface. Welded and drawn tubes Fine Tubes' welded and drawn tubes sizes are available in the following sizes: Up to 38.1mm (1.5in) OD Straight lengths up to 16m (51ft) Coil tubes (with orbital joints) up to 12,000m (40,000ft) long Coiled tubing Fine Tubes supplies coiled tubing for control lines in seam welded / redrawn and seamless conditions. Lengths up to 15,000m (49,000ft) are produced and include orbital joints. Coiled oil and gas tubing is typically provided in diameters from 0.25in to 1in OD and is used in various subsea applications. Coiled tubing is also used in onshore or topside hydraulic and instrumentation systems where the longer coils result in fewer connections and can increase the integrity of the overall system Straight length tubing Fine Tubes supplies straight length tubing in austenitic, super-austenitic and super duplex stainless steels, titanium grades and nickel alloys. High quality tubing Fine Tubes operates a quality management system which complies with the requirements of AS9100 REV C / BS EN 9100, ISO 9001and assessed in accordance with EN 9104:P1certificate FM09729 has been issued by BSI. Amongst other, the Fine Tubes' quality system also meets the standards of TUV AD-2000 Merkblatt W0/TRD 100, pressure equipment directive (PED), NADCAP approval of ultrasonic testing, heat treatment and welding processes, as well as Saipem Spa - SAP code M02630018. Fine Tubes is also listed on the IAQG Oasis and database and has environmental approval to BS EN 14001.
