Cygnus Instruments Ltd, founded in 1983, was the pioneer and originator of the multiple echo technique. All Cygnus manufactures ultrasonic digital thickness gauges that use the multiple echo technique to ensure accurate, error checked readings without having to remove protective coatings. All of our gauges are designed to be robust and simple to use.
The Cygnus range includes a Heavy duty model designed to withstand extremely severe environments; Intrinsically Safe model (explosion proof) certified to Ex II 1G EEx ia IIC T6 and CSA Class 1 Group A Division1; Underwater model with optional topside display/datalogging facilities; Cygnus 2 with the end-mounted LED display which can be worn around the waist or clipped to a harness for rope access applications; Cygnus 4 with LCD backlit display for easy viewing in all light conditions; comprehensive Datalogger with the capability to log multi-point structures; ROV mountable series dedicated to sub-sea ROV applications.
