TOPOGRAPHY
Except for Black Mountain, most of the topography within 10 nmi of the Port of Mackay is low lying and unremarkable. Black Mountain, a 1,059 ft (323 m) rise, lies approximately 8.5 nmi west-northwest of the harbor. Other elevations include 269 ft (82 m) Mount Bassett, which lies 1 nmi west-southwest of the harbor and an unnamed 177 ft (54 m) rise approximately 3 nmi west of the harbor.
