LOCATION
Fremantle, the chief commercial port of Western Australia, is located on the southern side of the entrance to the Swan River at 32°03'S 115°44'E. Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, is situated 11 miles inland on the Swan River Figure XI-1 and Figure XI-46). The Port of Fremantle is composed of an Inner Harbor in the mouth of the Swan River and an Outer Harbor that includes all waters of Gage Roads, Owen Anchorage and Cockburn Sound.
