BUNBURY

TOPOGRAPHY

The coast extending from Cape Bouvard about 37 miles north of Koombana Bay to Cape Naturaliste about 35 miles south of the Port of Bunbury is generally low and sandy. Within the coastal ridges are Lake Clifton and Lake Preston. Further inland, about 17 miles northeast of McKenna Point, the hills rise to a height of 354.3 ft (108 m). The eastern shore of Koombana Bay is backed by Leschenault Inlet which extends 7 miles north, parallel to the shore. Behind the inlet is a ridge of hills from 98.4 ft (30 m) to 196.9 ft (60 m) high.
