Zenatek

Profile

Zenatek specialises in ICT, creating innovative solutions to enhance work and improve security. The company successfully works in all application areas, including software architecture, set-up for transmitting data and signs, collaborative circles and high-level management systems. Zenatek is composed of three companies, Zentatek S.a.r.l. based in Monaco, Zenatek Inc based in New York and Zenatek S.p.A based in Italy. It has a global presence, and is the preferred partner of choice for organisations seeking to keep control of the distribution and logistics processes of their shipments. Offshore cargo security Cargo security is paramount for any high-value equipment and components in transit, particularly when the destination is a hard-to-reach area such as an offshore platform where oil and gas exploration and extraction take place. The Zenatek Tracking System (ZTS) is a tracking, monitoring and reporting system that ensures products remain fit for purpose during transit. The ZTS solution provides security and confidence that goods will be delivered on time and in the correct condition. Location tracking of offshore containers The ZTS uses GPS to locate the container. It transmits position information using GSM communication. Battery life is guaranteed for four months of service at one message a day. Wake-up intervals, the number of positions per message and the quantity of messages per day can all be remotely reconfigured, even after the shipment has left. GeoFencing capability means that if the trailer or container is placed or moved to another part of the port, the device will wake up and trigger the corresponding alarm. The service includes a container tracking device (CTD), a one-way throwaway unit that does not need to be retrieved at its destination. The device can be attached to container doors in minutes via two powerful magnets. No tools are needed for installation, including the use of a universal plate adaptor for aluminium containers or reefers. Alerts are sent by the web-based system designed by Zenatek to the user's mobile phone via e-mail and SMS. The user can then log in with an encrypted password and user ID, and view the position of the container and the nature of the alert. The system pinpoints the position of the tracking devices within a few metres anywhere in the world by using a multiple mapping solution via Zenatek's web-based portal. The ZTS portal allows each user to find both real-time and all previous locations of the container or trailer. Temperature and security monitoring A real-time monitoring system keeps track of the location of shipments and monitors product temperature changes and the opening of container doors, recording any risks the product has been exposed to. Customers can be assured of receiving the highest quality, with the stakeholder in possession of a container when an event triggers the alarm can be quickly identified. This allows clients to quickly initiate their corrective response. Long-term insurance premiums are also likely to be reduced. Chokepoint detection The ZTS enables identification of chokepoints in the supply chain and reduce safety stocks. Chokepoints are when containers or assets are 'lost' or misplaced in terminals that spend too much time in port, while safety stocks are the inventories that exceed normal needs and are used as a buffer against shipment delays. Real-time information on what is happening with a shipment gives users control of the situation and the possibility of an effective and prompt reaction for damage control, such as re-shipping if necessary.
