Specialist Offshore Services

Profile

Specialist Offshore Services is a subsea equipment supplier founded on extensive offshore operational experience. Based in Perth, Australia, the company supports regional subsea IRM (inspection, repair and maintenance), as well as survey operations. The company is an OEM of subsea tooling and sensors, offering tooling improvements driven by operational frustrations. We redevelop existing solutions to better match today's ROV capabilities and deep-water operational environment. We have a business development and support agreement in place with the Seatronics group, the global leader for the supply of subsea electronic equipment. Specialist Offshore Services is fully committed to supporting Seatronics' equipment and clients in Australia. Fluid injection and water blaster systems HP water blaster and fluid Injection systems are compact and integrated units based on industry-proven pumps. Output pressures of 200bar, 400bar and 500bar are available, with 690bar in development. Fluid injection to 15,000psi is available. The ROV takes pumping fluid directly from the surrounding seawater or from a reservoir and is capable of pumping most alternative fluids. A custom-designed manifold provides easy control and connection. The hotstab control manifold and options for subsea data logger systems provide extremely effective integrated pressure-testing solutions. Compensators and fluid bladders are available. Subsea data loggers The subsea pressure and temperature logger system logs digital pressure and temperature. Supplied in a 4,000m housing with viewing window, the system can be supplied in subsea frame with ROV-operable valves and client-specified hotstabs. Specifications include: Range to 700bar Up to 57,000 readings Accuracy 0.1% resolution 100Mbar customisable frame MS software Hotstab control manifolds The Specialist Offshore Services hotstab control manifold is a custom OEM unit that allows users to configure hotstab ports on the fly. By reducing manipulator operations, the unit provides savings in time and reliability. The manifold is perfect for two-way operations or fast switching for critical control operations, double block and bleed or precise control of acid or chemical injection operations. Subsea pH probes OEM pH probes allow the determination of pH to 6,000m depth. The typical scientific systems have been adapted for use by ROV manipulators. Software allows easy calibration, live display, logging and an ASCII output to video overlay systems or import to other packages. Subsea pH probes are the perfect tool for rig cement and grout monitoring or scientific applications. Suction anchor and pile skid systems Using industry standard pumps in combination with the best in Zetechtics Jupiter 2 smart valve pack systems provides a highly customisable software logger for suction pressure, flow and custom parameters as required. The system can be deployed in a custom skid or as single components, depending on client requirements. Parameters include: Water flow Vacuum pressure Heading Depth / altitude Software controls display, custom safety reliefs and logging Redundant safety Various flows / pressure rated systems are available. High-flow intensifier panels Specialist Offshore Services offers subsea cutter and intensifier panels. An OEM high-flow intensifier reduces cut times and uses subsea-proven intensifiers as the core elements. The high-flow intensifier can speed cutting by as much as four times. Hydraulics connections are compacted into reliable custom manifolds, reducing fluid leakage paths for greater reliability. This leads to huge time-savings when performing multiple cuts or decommissioning. Dirty work packs Dirty oil packs allow peace of mind when using tools that typically contaminate the ROV's hydraulics. Our dirty work pack uses a reliable motor matched via a compensated housing to proven gear pumps. Reliable with normally unacceptable levels of contaminants, the gear pump is easily replaceable and cost-effective. Gas samplers The OEM gas sampling unit combines safety features not seen on other units, ensuring safety with unknown gases. Features include: Fully rated sample bottle allows safe collection to 3,000MSW All outlets have two barriers to protect users Welded interconnections where possible Option for two manual or one manual and one hydraulic quarter-turn isolation valves. This unique configuration using Specialist Offshore Services' hydraulic quarter-turn actuator ensures that at least one valve cannot be accidentally knocked during recovery or deck handling operations. Water samplers A 12-bottle water sampler carousel is modified for operation without surface control connection. The subsea battery, timer and pressure control bottle controls all functions. The standard sampler comes C/W qty x 12 2.5l Niskin bottles. Other sizes are available. The carousel is capable of supporting 500kg and space within the frame for client instrumentation. Seatronics Our partnership with Seatronics allows us to assist with specification and support of the full range of the company's equipment and services, as well as those of its industry partners, including supply and support for the Predator ROV system. Seatronics can supply most equipment for sale at competitive rates. Additional partnerships Specialist Offshore Services assesses products on operational capabilities, new technology and safety advancements. Where possible, we will attempt to position ourselves to support and supply those that we consider best-in-class. Currently, we are pleased to represent Digital Edge Subsea and Nautilus Rigging as distributors of their products. These companies offer products that lead the world in their respective areas.
