Skarpenord Corrosion a.s has for 50 years been one of the leading specialists and suppliers of cathodic protection services and equipment for the marine, industrial and offshore markets.

Skarpenord Corrosion a.s has today the largest anode foundry facility in Northern Europe and the foundry is the only norwegian facility being prequalified and approved as a manufacturer and supplier of sacrificial anodes to the oil and gas industry.

Skarpenord Corrosion a.s is a private owned limited company.
The company was until February 2003 a subsidary of Jotun A/S (Jotun Cathodic Protection). As from February 2003 the ownership of the company was transferred to a management group and the name of the company was changed to Skarpenord Corrosion a.s.

Skarpenord Corrosion has been a supplier to the offshore market since the very beginning of exploration in the North Sea Region and has for approx. 30 years supplied sacrificial anodes for subsea pipelines, steel jackets, concrete platforms, subsea templates, mobile drilling rigs, FPSO?s etc.

Skarpenord Corrosion operates a full comprehensive Quality Assurance System that conforms with ISO 9001:2000 and which is certified by the certification body DNV.

Skarpenord Corrosion offers the full range of cathodic protection services and products for the offshore, industrial and marine markets comprising sacrificial anodes in zinc and aluminium alloys, grounding equipment, cathodic protection engineering and design, inspection and service of CP systems.

The sacrificial aluminium and zinc anodes are manufactured by Skarpenord Corrosion in its own foundry in Fredrikstad, Norway.
At Skarpenord Corrosion?s foundry in Fredrikstad there are one aluminium and one zinc production line in operation. Both production lines have one melting furnace and two alloying furnaces. Based on 3 shifts the daily production capacity is 30 tonnes aluminium and 25 tonnes zinc anodes.
