Profile
SeaBotix is a world-leading manufacturer of capable underwater MiniROVs that perform a multitude of tasks. The offshore industry has a broad range of applications for which the SeaBotix vLBV can be used, such as platform inspections, pre-site survey and aiding WROVs. The vLBV's small size allows it to be easily deployed from just about anywhere, offering rapid transport and inspection. SeaBotix containerized delivery system (CDS) As the first rapid response, fully self-contained, 4,000m-depth-rated ROV system, the CDS is a revolutionary system for deepwater observation and light duty work. This container has a third of the footprint of a work-class ROV and it takes a fraction of the time to mobilize with its single-point lifting system. CDS can be operated by two people from vessels as small as 40m. With only a small crew requirement, it is simple to deploy, operate and service. A cost-effective approach, the CDS offers a fully self-contained deepwater observation package, including customizable control room, workspace, active heave-compensated winch, LARS, TMS and 4,000m-rated vectored ROV (vLBV4000). Reliable, secure, easy to use and able to operate in deepwater with a variety of sensors, such as sonar, high resolution cameras, grabbers and more, the CDS is not just a product, it is a solutions platform for offshore inspection needs. SeaBotix Fly-Out System Fly-Out systems vary from one application to another, but there are some key modules that are used in every application, such as an underwater winch with level wind, a control system and a garage to keep the ROV safe during deployment and retrieval. SeaBotix has strived to make these key components as modular as possible, so that they can be re-arranged in a variety of different configurations to match application needs. With a SeaBotix system you can fly out from a WROV, a manned submersible or simply from a dedicated tether management system (TMS) as offered with CDS. Key features of the SeaBotix Fly-Out system include a depth rating down to 4,000m (13,125ft) and a 200m (650ft) excursion tether, deployed from a remote-controlled underwater winch with level wind. MiniROV platforms and vLBVs (vectored Little Benthic Vehicles) The vLBV series is the latest development in highly capable vectored ROVs, offering incredible stability and a powerful platform, allowing the use of a wide range of cameras, sensors and tools through its Ethernet communications, with capabilities for a diverse range of applications. The vLBV offers additional ports with power, RS-232, RS-485 or Ethernet, to interface with sensors of your choice. Compact yet highly capable, the vLBV can inspect tight areas in complex structures at depths of up to 4,000m (13,125ft). The vectored thruster configuration provides amazing control. Equipped with six powerful, oil-compensated, brushless DC thrusters (four adjustable vectored horizontal and two vertical thrusters), it is highly efficient for demanding offshore conditions. The vLBV has impressive bollard thrust, generating as much bollard thrust as its own weight for outstanding maneuvrability. The thruster angle is variable from approximately equal thrust in all horizontal directions (35º/45º) to a biased maximum forward thrust (18º/18º). The integrated control console features standard auto-heading, auto-depth and trim in an intuitive, logical and simple layout, putting all system functions at your fingertips. vLBV300-10 SeaLift The vLBV-10 SeaLift system, with depths up to 300m (1,000ft), adds four additional powerful thrusters (six vertical and four horizontal vectored thrusters), giving it an unprecedented lifting capacity of 18kg (40lbs) and yet it still manages to maintain a compact vLBV design. To handle the heavy lifting, the vLBV-10 is fitted with an articulating grabber arm. Once the object is grasped, the grabber arm can be rotated down the ROV's centre for lifting. This articulation keeps the vLBV-10 stable.
