Scan Tech, a part of James Fisher & Sons, is a leading Norwegian supplier of services and products to the oil and marine industries. Offshore equipment engineering
Today's oil and gas market expects contractors to be flexible and solution focused. Scan Tech has developed a team of specialists to help with the design and execution of its services both on and offshore. Our equipment and engineers are in high demand for the support of our customers' well testing operations, subsea maintenance and lifting projects.
Subsea excavation equipment
The HydroDigger is one of Scan Tech's own designed products. The HydroDigger is a subsea, remote-controlled device that produces a controllable water column in order to carry out excavation operations on the seabed. The equipment excavates the seabed speedily and efficiently, reducing the number of rental days compared to other systems.
The HydroDigger digs deep in and around complex installations on the seabed without any physical contact. It requires a minimal amount of space on deck, making it possible to deploy from different types of vessels.
Offshore steam and high pressure units
Our steam and high pressure department is one of the leading manufacturer and supplier of offshore steam and high pressure units in Europe. We have our own design and production team and we supply equipment adapted to the customer's specifications and requirements. The products are custom designed for use in offshore environments, including Ex zones.
Steam generators and custom designed compressors
Our steam generators are used for rapid heating in connection with activities such as chemical cleaning and purging of hydrocarbon systems. Our mobile steam generators are often used as backup for permanent systems on oil platforms. Scan Tech's well testing team uses these units together with our custom designed compressors when they provide assistance during well testing activities.
Lifting technology
Scan Tech's lifting division designs and produces bespoke solutions for the industry, whilst supplying a large range of standard marine cranes, winches, spoolers, transport trolleys, grabber systems, basket systems and power packs. We can provide innovative solutions and designs to our customers.
Well testing compressors
Scan Tech is an active supplier of pressurized air services to the on and offshore based industry. We supply compressors with a capacity of up to 50m³/min and working pressure rating up to 25bar. Our compressor division is renowned for its good service and high level of knowledge and skill. We have a broad experience with well testing and have become the leading and most complete supplier of compressors for this type of work.
