Ruhrpumpen

Profile

For over 60 years, Ruhrpumpen has developed and manufactured centrifugal pumps, including pumps for use under extreme conditions. With modern CNC machine tools tailored to our manufacturing processes, we can guarantee products of the highest quality.
Multi-stage, single-suction barrel pumps
Our multi-stage, single-suction barrel pumps are radially split, horizontal centrifugal models. Centre-line mounted, with diffuser casing, they possess a single-suction, radial, closed impeller. Thrust compensation is by balance drum, and there is a top-top nozzle arrangement.
These pumps are of heavy-duty process design according to the latest edition of API 610, with API pump type BB5 and ring oil lubrication (other methods of lubrication available). Sleeve/tilting pad bearings, replaceable wear rings for casing and impeller, different nozzle arrangements, fan cooling and a low-NPSH double-suction design are available.
These multi-stage, single-suction barrel pumps have a capacity of up to 1,000m³/h (4,400gpm), and withstand pressure up to 400bar (5,801psi). They can handle temperatures of up to 450°C (840°F) and are ideal for seawater applications.
Single-stage process pumps
The Type J or HVN is an API 610 (BB2), radially split, single-stage, double-suction, dual-volute process pump mounted between bearings and designed for continuous heavy-duty service on a broad range of process and industrial applications.
Seal chambers are designed to accommodate all API single, tandem, double and bellows cartridge seal configurations and packing arrangements. The dynamically balanced, double-suction impeller minimises thrust problems, reduces NPSH requirements and provides smooth operation for longer mechanical seal and bearing life.
Vertical process / booster pumps
The VLT is a vertical process pump of the double-casing type as defined by API 610. By multi-staging series stages in the medium-speed design range, the VLT provides outstanding efficiencies and low-cost operation in high-head applications.
The special first stage allows operation with extremely low NPSH requirements while running at optimum speeds. Exclusive hydraulic and mechanical features in our vertical process pumps provide continuing reliability with optimum performance. The capacity is up to 9,500m³/hr (45,000gpm) and head up to 1,500m (4,920ft).
Centrifugal overhung process pumps
The SCE is a heavy-duty, single-stage, centrifugal overhung process pump built in accordance with the latest edition of API 610. It is ideally suited for all refinery and petrochemical applications, as well as offshore.
Designed for all fluids and process conditions, the SCE centrifugal overhung process pump has a hydraulic range unequalled in the industry. The range comprises 117 hydraulic combinations with only four bearing brackets for easy maintenance and serviceability.
Pipeline and injection pump for oilfields and pipelines
The Ruhrpumpen type SM is a heavy-duty, horizontal, axial split casing, volute, multi-stage, centrifugal pump constructed according to the latest edition of API 610. SM pumps with axial split casing are robust and reliable. Hydraulic balance is obtained by arranging the impellers in opposed groups.
SM pumps are designed to withstand medium to high pressure ranges. SM pumps are easy to inspect and maintain, due to the volute design which eliminates the need for guide vanes. The lower casing half will remain on the base-plate connected to the pipeworks during inspection and dismantling. This guarantees free access to the rotating assembly.
The suction and discharge nozzles have a side-side orientation, axially offset in the lower-half casing.
Horizontal process pumps
The pumps of the JTN model are heavy-duty centrifugal pumps for universal applications. The pumps meet the stringent specifications of API standard 610 and reflect our many years of experience in design, manufacture, quality assurance and operation of process pumps under heavy-duty conditions.
Equipped with casing with foot support near the centreline, all applicable branch flange connections in sizes up to ANSIB16.5 are available for these pumps.
They comply with the requirements specified in ISO 9905.
