Polyester mooring, spiral strand mooring and 6-strand anchor lines Parker Scanrope, part of Parker EPD, is a leading global producer of deep water polyester mooring lines and has the largest manufacturing capability in the world for spiral strand mooring and 6-strand anchor lines. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, with a unique in-line tensioning and measuring system, provides unsurpassed, continuous lengths with precision and accuracy. Large take-up units and quayside loading facilities provide direct vessel access, which allows Parker to supply the longest, continuous rope lengths in the industry; minimizing splices and simplifying installation logistics while saving our clients money. Our spiral strand facility has manufactured some of the largest mooring contracts to date. Parker has engineered mooring lines for some of the world’s deepest moored installations, including Shell/ BP’s Nakika and BP Atlantis; both of which are located in approximately 2,000m of water (6,500ft). Similarly, Parker has provided 6-strand anchor wires to the largest moored semi-submersible drilling units and construction vessels in the world. Seamless logistics with direct ocean access from the factory floor ensure efficient and safe transport anywhere in the world. Parker has also manufactured impressive fiber mooring ropes, including those used on Chevron's Jack St Malo project. This is the largest fiber mooring project ever in terms of rope volume. Loading and off-loading marine hose Based in Ortona, Italy, Parker Marine Hose Products (MHP), a business unit of Parker Energy Products Division, manufactures submarine and floating hoses to transfer crude oil, liquefied gas and other petroleum products between buoys, floating production storage and offloading facilities (FPSOs) and conventional tankers. All hose sizes are compliant with the most stringent industry guidelines, GMPHOM 2009. Originally founded by Pirelli then acquired by Parker in 2002, Parker MHP has over 40 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of onshore and offshore marine hose and offers a reliable, safe and superior design life. High-pressure hose Parker EPD's polyflex business unit specialises in the manufacture of ultra-high-pressure hoses, fittings, and accessory products. We offer an extensive selection of products for specific fluid-handling applications, including oil and gas, waterblast and hydraulic. Our products are available in a wide variety of sizes and materials including wire-reinforced thermoplastic and custom compounds. Tubing bundles Parker EPD's multitube business unit is an expert in the design and engineering of metal and plastic tubing bundle solutions. Our tubing bundles are used worldwide as an ideal alternative for applications where multiple lengths of tubing are currently being installed independently. A bundled solution typically saves space within cabled trays, reduces overall installation costs, and offers protection to the individual tubes when being routed throughout a plant or facility. Parker EPD offers a wide range of choices for metal and plastic tubes, tubing lengths, jacket materials and color options. Multitube bundles can be manufactured with a protective galvanised steel armour with or without a cover jacket. Armored bundles offer superior mechanical protection where crush resistance is needed. We also offer a variety of thermal control tubing products, such as steam and electric trace tubing and analyser and probe support bundles. Typical applications for Multitube products include: chemical processing and refineries, power generation, process control and environmental monitoring systems, industrial plants and bulk hook-up for FPSO topside equipment. Surveying and consulting services Parker Maritime, another business unit of EPD, provides a wide range of services. These include subsea metrology using photogrammetry, onshore and offshore dimensional control surveying, vessel and ROV attitude verifications and GNSS health checks, as well as maritime services like seabed mapping. In addition, Parker Maritime has developed and manufactures the ParkerPMS™, a vessel position surveillance system used for offshore oil loading with various buoy types.
