Parat Halvorsen AS

Profile

Parat Halvorsen AS is Norway's leading supplier of steam and heat solutions. We deliver complete systems to land-based industries, ships and the offshore sector. Parat Halvorsen boilers are in daily use in all corners of the world - and we are proud of having delivered products with our trademark of quality and reliability. Parat Halvorsen AS has been a player in the offshore market since the mid 1970s. We have supplied a great variety of packages and products to this very demanding market and have thus developed a solid experience which enables us to securely provide even more complex products in the years to come. Steam and heat solutions for the offshore industry We started out with a wide product range covering everything from glycol regeneration packages, filter packages, scrubbers and separators to steam and hot water boiler systems. This industry's strict quality assurance requirements are carefully followed up through our quality assurance system: ISO 9001. Further enhancing our position internationally, we are now the only Norwegian supplier to be ASME approved with the 'U' and 'S' stamps. Today we try to keep our main focus on heating solutions. Our typical product range includes: Oil and gas fired steam boiler packages: 0.5t/hr to 50t/hr Electrical high-voltage steam boiler systems: 5t/hr to 75t/hr Electrical low-voltage steam boiler systems: 0.5t/hr to 15t/hr Oil and gas fired hot water packages: 0.5MW to 40MW Electrical high-voltage hot water packages: 2.5MW to 50MW Electrical low-voltage hot water packages: 0.5MW to 10MW Potable hot water service packages: up to 100m³ Thermal oil systems: up to 15MW WHRU High-voltage electrode boiler for marine use The PARAT high-voltage electrode boiler can be delivered with a capacity up to 50MW. With 40 years of experience in marine boilers, we have made a rugged design that fulfils all class requirements. The new electrode system for marine use is a result of many years of experience combined with an innovative design. The high-voltage electrode boiler is extremely compact. The cost savings on ships are also significant, since no transformer or low-voltage cables are needed. The electrical control panel includes a complete safety and control system. This system is based on the Siemens SIMATIC S7 system with a touch panel for local operation. Communication with the ship's main control system is possible as well, from analog and digital signals to bus systems such as PROFIBUS and MODBUS. The safety system is independent from the PLC system. Features include: Compact and rugged design for marine use Approved by DNV, LRS, BV, ABS, etc. Capacity up to 50MW Ex-approved version for FPSO is available Rugged low-voltage electric boiler The PARAT electrical element boiler can be delivered with capacity up to 5,000kW. The electrical element boiler is very compact, and has the big advantage of low load regulation, down to 15kW. No smoke stack is needed, thus saving space and costs. The electrical cabinet is separate from the boiler. This ensures a low temperature in the electrical components. The cabinet is standardised and type approved according to the NEK 400. Included are the main switch, fuses, contactors and a complete safety and control system. This system is based on the Siemens PLC SIMATIC S7 system with a touch panel for local operation. Communication with the ship's main control system is possible as well, from analog and digital signals to bus systems such as PROFIBUS and MODBUS. The safety system is independent from the PLC system. Features include: Electrical element boiler with compact design Rugged design for marine use Separate boiler and electrical cabinet; fulfils NEK 400 Approved by DNV, LRS, BV, GL, etc. Extremely good regulation For ships with ORO operation class, PARAT has developed a successful package containing a heat exchanger for the hot water system and steam lances for heating of ORO tanks. Pressure vessels, boilers and structural components With our highly skilled engineering staff that includes some of Norway's very best boiler engineers, we feel quite capable of solving any heating challenge that is presented to us within our specific range of products. Manufacturing of pressure vessels, boilers and structural components is done at our factories in Flekkefjord and Kvinesdal. All assembly, electrical and instrument work and testing is also done at our premises before the packages are shipped directly from our deep sea harbour. Installation and start-up / commissioning is also performed by Parat personnel. Our service engineers and technicians are mostly hand picked from positions in manufacturing and installation and thereby have the right background that enables them to perform their tasks quickly and to make the right decisions on site. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any projects that require high-quality heating products.
