NT Welding has more than ten years of experience in providing fabrication and welding services for lifting frames, structural steel, pipes, fuel tanks and pressure vessels for the offshore, oil and gas, mining, rail, defence and construction industries across Australia. Fully-equipped workshop and qualified international welding specialist / inspection With a workshop in Darwin able to handle carbon steel, marine-grade and duplex stainless-steel, and aluminium projects, NT Welding has a team of over 25 boilermakers, sheet metal workers, welders, pipe fitters and trade assistants to provide custom metal work for any size of project, small or large. NT Welding employs an international welding specialist (IWS) and an international welding inspector (IWI-B) to assist with procedure specifications, perform qualifications and carry out in-house destructive and non-destructive testing to international standards. Fabrication and welding services Fabrication and welding services offered by NT Welding include: Lifting frame fabrication and welding certified for offshore use Structural steel fabrication and welding Pipe fabrication and welding Sheet bending Guillotining Aluminium fabrication and welding from general jobbing to major works, with aluminium welders qualified to DNV standards Marine-grade stainless-steel fabrication and welding Duplex stainless-steels fabrication and welding - all NT Welding stainless and aluminium work has a designated separate workshop from carbon steel to prevent cross-contamination of materials Defence force metal work maintenance - NT Welding is currently halfway through a two-year contract for the repair of the Armidale Class patrol boats Power and water metal work maintenance, including two contracts with Power and Water Corporation that will continue until mid-2015 Fuel tank fabrication and welding Pressure vessel fabrication and hire Civil aviation safety authority-certified welding Site work Design and drafting Accreditations and quality management systems NT Welding is accredited to the highest standards across Australia and internationally, and has quality management systems in place to protect staff and provide the highest-quality metal work to our customers. NT Welding is accredited to ISO3834.2, which regulates quality fusion welding from planning to finished product, and also requires that the company employs an IWS and IWI-B for supervision and expert technical knowledge. NT Welding operates a quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001, to ensure that products consistently reach the highest possible standards. Safety management systems are accredited to AS/NZS 4801:2001 and ISO 18001:2007, a mark of the company's investment in staff safety and reliability. NT Welding is currently the only CASA-approved aircraft welder in the Top End of Australia, making it the sole company legally able to perform welding repairs on aviation components.
