Norgren

Profile

Norgren has brought together the internationally known, market-leading brands of Maxseal, Herion, Watson Smith, Buschjost and Thompson Valves to create a global sector supplying safe, reliable and cost-effective integrated solutions for the oil, gas and chemical markets, including: Control of process actuators (single or double acting; rotary and linear) Control and handling of neutral and aggressive gasses and liquids At the heart of Norgren's offering are solenoid valves that typically have stainless-steel housings and explosion-proof coils, with a broad choice of seal materials. Stainless-steel solenoid valves Maxseal is a name traditionally associated with process management in the most exacting environments, from the North Sea to South-East Asia, through North Africa, South America and the Middle East. Across the globe Maxseal's instrumentation solutions have a proven track record of safety and reliability, offering exceptional performance in harsh environments for over 50 years. Maxseal's range of stainless-steel solenoid valves are low power consumption, fast-acting instrument change-over valves. They have exceptionally high-force return springs, are suitable for Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications, are certified to SIL 3 and 4 and have ATEX, GOST, INMETRO and CSA approvals, with FM pending. Options include high pressure up to 414bar (6,000psi) and low temperature down to -60°C. Included in the Maxseal product range are the famous 0.25in and 0.5in stainless-steel, two, three and five port direct-acting ICO4S solenoid valves, the reduced weight and compact, low power consumption ICO3 range and the intrinsically safe, pilot-assisted ICO2 solenoid valves. Solenoid valves for hazardous areas The Maxseal SOV range offers instrument changeover and process control for hazardous areas. The range includes 0.5in to 4in solenoid valves certified for hazardous area use as well as general air, gas and liquid handling in oil and gas, petrochemical and water applications. Air-operated valves (APV), pilot-operated valves (POV), spool valves and quick exhaust valves (QEV) complete the Maxseal valve range. NAMUR and in-line solenoid valves Norgren-Herion has been a global leader in process automation for more than 65 years and has been at the forefront in developing industry standards such as the NAMUR interface and modular body and coil systems. This industry experience underpins the Herion reputation for quality and reliability, in both its unique valve product offering and customised valve solutions. Norgren-Herion solenoid valves are used extensively throughout the chemical and petro-chemical industries for process control automation and the control of process fluid. NAMUR interface and in-line solenoid valves are used to control pneumatic actuators; both single and double acting, operating ball valves, butterfly valves, plug valves and dampers. Modular valve system The Herion modular valve system includes the 24011, 24010 and 98015 direct-acting solenoid valves, the 97105 and 98025 pilot-operated solenoid valves and the 80400 air-operated poppet valve. Options include 2/2 way, 3/2 way, 4/2 way and 5/2 way valves in bodies made from brass, stainless steel or aluminium. The expertise of Norgren-Herion is their understanding of the industry and their ability to supply valves and solutions for safety systems, to SIL4 or AK7 and protection classes IP65, Ex ia, Ex me, Ex md, NEMA 4, 4x, 6,6P, 7,9. Norgren-Herion provide valves that can operate in arduous conditions within temperature ranges between -55°C and +80°C and are ATEX, FM, CSA or XP approved. Preparation equipment, pressure switches, converters and process valves In addition to solenoid valves the Norgren product portfolio for the oil, gas and chemical markets include Norgren and Maxseal branded stainless-steel air preparation equipment (filters, regulators and filter-regulators), Herion pneumatic and hydraulic pressure switches, Watson Smith I/P and E/P convertors and Buschjost 2/2 way and 3/2 way process valves.
