HSE offshore rig medic training course
MediPro offers the HSE offshore rig medic training course, which is an intense training package designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the offshore industry. The course encompasses the latest medical techniques and evidence-based practices to ensure the students are efficient and confident clinical practitioners.
The objectives of this course are to provide individuals within the offshore industry the required knowledge and skills to deliver confidently, excellent clinical care, and prepare delegates for the examination or re-certification to obtain the HSE approval. The content includes but is not limited to the following:

Advanced airway management
Adult advanced life support
Clinical examination
Trauma management
The role of the offshore rig medic
Medical conditions
ENT

HSE-approved rig medic certificate
The initial rig medic course lasts for four weeks. This will be primarily classroom based with some external placements (where possible) to enhance the learning experience. Successful candidates will be awarded the HSE-approved rig medic certificate, which will be valid for three years. The course costs £1950 (excluding VAT).
HSE rig medic refresher course
The HSE rig medic refresher course is a two-week classroom-based course, which will be valid for three years. Candidates must have a valid HSE rig medic certificate to secure a place on the refresher course. The course costs £950 (excluding VAT).
First aid training courses
MediPro creates realistic training scenarios and utilises the latest medical techniques in order for delegates to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. We ensure all individuals are confident and equipped to deal with accidents, illness and injury, particularly in the work place.
With a very extensive portfolio, training packages are very cost effective, often much cheaper than our competitors. Courses are delivered on or off company premises, making delivery easier and limiting the amount of time personnel are required to be away from their work.

This level of expertise allows Medipro to offer a much higher level of medical training, including all the elements of advanced airway management, life support, patient assessment, diagnostics and treatment or bespoke packages tailored to specific requirements.
Approved training courses
Many of our courses are approved. In areas where HSE recommends training is undertaken, for example defibrillation training, Medipro’s certificate of completion will be awarded. The following courses are approved:
