Horizon Well Logging, LLC, is an investor-owned mud logging and geo-steering company that has been in business since 1988, operating primarily in the Arkoma and Anadarko basins. With 33 trailers we are one of the largest mud logging companies in Oklahoma and the predominant firm in the Woodford Shale. We are expanding into two new areas in 2009: the Williston Basin/Bakken Shale in Montana/North Dakota and the Fayetteville/Haynesville Shale areas of southern Arkansas and northern Louisiana.
Our customers are primarily large independent exploration companies, such as Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, Apache Corporation, Antero Resources, SandRidge Energy, Unit Corporation and Continental Resources. We also service a number of smaller operators across Oklahoma. Our primary business is mud logging, but we also provide geo-steering for horizontal wells and well site consulting.
