GE Oil & Gas

Profile

GE provides multi-stage centrifugal pumps, pump controls / communication systems and related equipment for fixed platforms, semi-submersible platforms (TLP, SPAR), floating production units (FPU, FPSO, FSU and MOPU), drilling rigs, intervention vessels, supply ships, supply vessels and processing units. Surface pumping systems GE SPS™ surface pumping systems provide versatile, low-maintenance alternatives to many multi-stage split-case centrifugal (SC), positive displacement (PD) and vertical-turbine pump models. Offshore applications of GE SPS pumps include: Crude oil transfer Offloading booster Processing applications Seawater disposal Water injection Pre-packaged surface pumping units SPS pumps are delivered to the job site pre-assembled. The skid assembly is pre-wired with instrumentation and cabling terminated in a central junction box. Suction and discharge flanges and power hook-ups are typically the only required connections. Offering quiet low-vibration performance characteristics, SPS pumps can be electric, gas or diesel-powered. They can handle up to 2,500gpm (85,000bfpd) and discharge pressures ranging up to 6,000psi. These versatile pumps feature design flexibility that facilitates on-site installation and maintenance with minimal site preparation. Low-maintenance offshore processing pumps Ideally suited for offshore applications, the SPS pump is designed to avoid downtime and provide years of trouble-free operation. There are no V-belts or packing to service. Routine maintenance consists of a quarterly lubricant change and component check. SPS units generate little to no vibration-related wear or stress on piping components. They are available with a variety of mechanical seal options including API 682 seals. The modular design makes the units suitable for a wide variety of applications, from routine water injection or disposal, to crude oil transfer, to complex processing services. The SPS pump is very reliable, cost-effective and easily modified in the field. Heavy-duty pumps for processing applications GE SPS pumps are well-suited to a wide range of high-pressure, heavy-duty processing applications that include: CO2 sequestration (carbon capture and storage – CCS) Condensate transfer Crude oil boosting and transfer Hydraulic power fluid boosting Lean amine circulation Natural gas liquids (NGL) boosting NGL transfer Process fluids transfer Wash water circulation Pump control and condition monitoring systems We manufacture our own variable-speed drives (VSD) and condition monitoring systems designed specifically to help lower operating costs and improve the reliability of our surface pumping systems. Our Vector VII VSD offers expanded communications, a compact design, an intuitive operator interface, application-specific software and integrated control features driven by newer, faster, more powerful microprocessors. To provide maximum flexibility and optimal pump and motor performance, the Vector VII VSD is available in ratings from 104kVA to 1,514kVA. Our monitoring systems can improve the effectiveness of your reliability / maintenance program by continually monitoring your pump system’s health and automatically notifying you of changes or conditions that require intervention. We provide two intelligent motor control systems: one for variable-speed drive applications and a motor controller for fixed-speed use. Using the latest advances in hardware, software and telecommunication technology, these units offer motor protection, data acquisition and event logging with the capability for real-time data analysis. Modular construction and add-on options allow these controllers to be configured for standalone operation or for use in coordinated pumping systems. Remote monitoring and control of pump operation is possible for sites located anywhere in the world using SCADA systems connected via Ethernet, wireless phone, or satellite communication systems. Certified processing pumps for the offshore industry GE SPS units are manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards and are tested to API RP 11S2 standards. Depending on final destinations and area of operation, units can be manufactured to meet most international standards, including ABS, DNV, CE and Atex.
