GAI-Tronics

Profile

GAI-Tronics designs and manufactures hazardous-area telephones, evacuation systems, intercoms and critical telecoms equipment for the offshore sector. Built to withstand unforgiving extremes of temperature, moisture, contamination, sunshine, wind, dust and salt, GAI-Tronics equipment is ideal for remote and hazardous situations. Offshore platform and industrial plant public-address and evacuation systems To protect staff, effective communications systems are vital. Oil and gas platforms, and petrochemical and large industrial plants, need to know that communications are reliable through failsafe design. GAI-Tronics products and systems can be used both on and offshore and offer life-critical alarm notification and emergency evacuation for hazardous and offshore industrial areas. All public address, alarm, evacuation and intercom systems are designed and built in-house. External telephone connections to these systems are hardwired using VoIP or an analogue telephone line. Oil-rig intercom systems Intercom systems provide a common-talk communication system designed for offshore oil rigs. Providing communications between drill operators and rig personnel, our rig intercom systems are simple-to-use with push-to-talk, release-to-listen operation, and will withstand the harsh effects of the environment. A more feature-rich system comprises a central controller or intercom server and various outstations, with a digital architecture to link the stations with the intercom server. Weather-resistant, hazardous-area telephones GAI-Tronics telephones are certified for safe operation in hazardous areas. The ATEX and IEC-approved telephones are tough and weather resistant up to IP66 with an operating temperature of -20ºC to +55ºC (-4ºF to +122ºF). The sounder is 90dB (adjustable) and a headset option is available for hands-free use. With rounded edges and a low profile to the wall this telephone is ideal for confined areas. It is available in analogue or VoIP versions for Zone 1 applications. The IS and UL-approved telephones are -40ºC to +60ºC (-40ºF to +140ºF). The glass-reinforced polyester enclosure is rated to NEMA 12 for the indoor model and NEMA 3R for the weatherproof model. Hazardous-area telephone accessories GAI-Tronics offers a range of accessories suitable for use with its telephones and systems, including hazardous-area beacons, sounders and hoods. Internationally approved hazardous-area telephones Our wide range of systems are tested and approved to many international standards, such as CENELEC, NFPA, CSA, ATEX and IEC, by key world agencies including UL, CUL, ABS, CQST, INMETRO, GOST, INTERTEK, UKOOA, KOSHA and BASEEFA. GAI-Tronics is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001-certified manufacturer operating at the highest levels of product quality, health and safety, and customer service.
