Low-temperature flexible insulation systems Armaflex Cryogenic Systems are specially designed to meet the specific demands of low-temperature applications (down to -200°C). They ensure excellent thermal insulation and reduce the risk of corrosion under insulation (CUI), without the need for additional vapour barriers or contraction joints. In comparison to traditional insulation constructions, ArmaSound Industrial Systems are fully compliant to ISO 15665 (‘Acoustic insulation for pipes, valves and flanges’) with substantially reduced insulation thickness and weight. Flexible pipe insulation with more than 50 years of experience Armacell is the inventor of Armaflex, the first flexible pipe insulation and the world's best-known brand in the industry. To meet the various national standards, Armacell offers different Armaflex premium brands for the respective market areas. For the special requirements of the oil and gas industry Armacell particularly recommends: Halogen-free elastomeric insulation material NH/Armaflex is the world’s first halogen-free elastomeric insulation material. The product is made with-out the addition of chlorides and bromides and has very low smoke density in the event of a fire. It is the ideal solution for environments with specific safety requirements and is certified for use in marine and offshore environments. Rubber-based covering material to minimise risk of CUI Arma-Chek R is a rubber-based, installation-friendly covering material, which offers extra system security to further minimise the risk of CUI. Arma-Chek R is fully weather-proof with an exceptionally high water vapour resistance. It is resistant to UV-radiation, oil and chemicals and its non-metallic nature eliminates the risk of galvanic corrosion. Armacell products are certified according to international fire standards, including those of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Lloyd's, DNV and ABS.
